APEX means "Accelerated Programme for Excellence" which is USM had target to achieve this title on 2013.

Students need to apply this terms into their life. "Niat" or intentions is placed under term PEOPLE, while "Laku" or act is placed under term PRINCIPLE and "Hasil" or product is placed under term PLACE.
